Cabernet grapes for our Cote del Sol, our reserve-level Cabernet, are hand-harvested from the south facing side of the vines only, which grow on a narrow, twenty-two row slope on our Valley View Vineyard. This Cabernet is then co-fermented with 8% Syrah from the same vineyard, which adds a spicy, jammy note to the new French-oak infused wine. The wine is dark and rich in color and flavor. Flavors of black cherry, currant, and cassis are persistent and make for a long velvety finish. This memorable wine's aromas and flavors, with firm yet supple structure and fine silky tannins, suggest a long life for this vintage.
