This is a superior Merlot owing to the long mild summer preceding
the harvest. The hand-harvested grapes were fermented in small
batches using traditional punchdowns to mix the cap and the juice.
This rich, dark Merlot was aged 15 months in French oak barrels.
Notes of black cherry, leather, earth, and spicy oak dominate this
vintage.
