From the library. Cabernet Franc is grown in two of our
Lucas & Lewellen vineyards. One is our Valley View Vineyard
near Solvang, the other is located in Los Alamos. The 2000 vintage
produced ripe grapes of exceptional character. This wine is very
mellow from long oak aging, with earth, raspberry, leather and
blueberry elements, harmoniously balanced by aging in new, two and
four year old French oak barrels.
